Tomorrow is Palm Sunday. Join us for Mass celebrated according to Divine Worship at 4pm at Christ the King Church, Langney.
At the start of Mass we hear the Gospel of the Palms, recounting Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem before his Passion. Mass starts in the Hall to allow us to re-create that procession. The celebration becomes one of Passiontide, in blood-red vestments, and includes the first reading of the Passion, this year in Mark’s account.
“The children of the Hebrews, carrying palms and olive branches, went forth to meet the Lord, crying out and saying, Hosanna in the highest! Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!”
