Weβre serving bacon butties after Mass on Sunday, to extend the fellowship and have the opportunity to bid farewell to Fr John, who is returning to Nigeria.
Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, βLord, save me.β Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, βO you of little faith, why did you doubt?β And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshipped him, saying, βTruly you are the Son of God.β

The Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, βAsk what I shall give you.β And Solomon said, βO Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father... Give your servant, therefore, an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?β It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this. And God said to him... βBehold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.β

Jesusβ disciples came to him, saying, βExplain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.β He answered, βThe one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.β
