There is a core shared identity evident among Ordinariate communities wherever they are found, rooted in a common path of following Christ that has led them into full communion with the Catholic Church. The Bishops have identified several traits that they consider to be characteristic of the spiritual and pastoral heritage of the Ordinariates, which have been received by the DDF in Rome as a part of a worthy patrimony.
To be a Catholic in the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham is demanding, there are times of reward and times of sacrifice; however, it is of God!
“God has led us into the unity which is His Church and it is our bounden duty to be a prophetic voice, bearing witness to the Unity for which Christ prayed and by being agents for that full unity of the Body of Christ for which he longs.”
The World needs to hear this truth. God has acted, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us; in the womb of the Virgin Mary he took our humanity and he has raised it now to the glory of Heaven.

‘Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them!’
The Mass is at an unusual time because it’s followed by our St George’s Celebration, and we look forward to welcoming all who have booked for that.

This Sunday has many names, including Dominica in Albis (“White Sunday”, from the white robes of the newly-baptised); Low Sunday (compared to the “high” Sunday of Easter itself); and Quasimodo Sunday (from the first words of the introit, “Quasi modo geniti infantes”, “Like new-born babes”). Victor Hugo’s hunchback was given the name Quasimodo because he was found on this Sunday.
