“A Precious Gift”: Rome affirms the Ordinariate’s Mission

Thursday 26 March 2026

There is a core shared identity evident among Ordinariate communities wherever they are found, rooted in a common path of following Christ that has led them into full communion with the Catholic Church. The Bishops have identified several traits that they consider to be characteristic of the spiritual and pastoral heritage of the Ordinariates, which have been received by the DDF in Rome as a part of a worthy patrimony.

  Eastbourne Ordinariate Mission

  Saturday 31 October

Tomorrow is the Solemnity of All Saints, and Mass will be celebrated according to Divine Worship at 11:30am at Christ the King Church Langney. We’d love to see you! The pew sheet is available at the link below. For this feast we’re using the Missa de Angelis, the music for which is in the service booklets.

There are lots of ways of praying for those whom we have loved and see no longer, during this time of remembrance, including Masses on All Souls’ Day, and having candles lit in church. Details are in the notices.

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’

  Eastbourne Ordinariate Mission

  Saturday 24 October

Tomorrow is the Twenty-first Sunday after Trinity, and Mass will be celebrated according to Divine Worship at 11:30am at Christ the King Church Langney. We’d love to see you! The pew sheet is available at the link below. Children's Liturgy is available this Sunday for younger members of the congregation.

Don't forget that clocks go back an hour tomorrow morning — although the church will be open if you get there early!

Jesus said to the lawyer, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.’
